meet rhubarb & plum

There is a damp part of the kitchen garden that gets just the right amount of sun to grow rhubarb, down the garden path just on the left under the trailing plum tree.

The cook has her eye on the tender sweet young stems and is counting the days until she can serve the master his favourite dessert.

She will of course be mixing the rhubarb and plum together to create the perfect crumble.
